Efficacy of L-amlodipine maleate combine with candesartan for in treatment of essential hypertension

Objective To explore the antihypertensive effect of candesartan combining with amlodipine in the treatment of essential hypertension.Methods Totally 87 patients with essential hypertension were randomly divided into candesartan plus amlodipine group(treatment group) and amlodipine group(control group),blood pressure were observed and analyzed.Results The SBP and DBP of patients in two groups decreased significantly after 8 weeks(P0.01),that in treatment group were obviously decreased compared with that in the control group(P0.05).The smoothness index of treatment group was 4.61/3.97,the control group was 2.28/2.53.Conclusions Compared with the control group,the treatment group presented the better effect to the patients with essential hypertension,and could reduce the blood pressure in a greater degree with longer time.The treatment group may decrease the blood pressure in a smoother way.
