Clinical Observation of Application of Porcelain Veneer in Incisal Angle or Margin Defect

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of porcelain veneer in restoration for defect of incisal angle of anterior teeth. Methods 242 defects of incisal angle of anterior teeth were restored by porcelain veneer and had been followed up for 5 years. Then the clinical effects were evaluated according to CDA (California Dental Association) evaluation criterion. Results Clinical outputs indicated that the success rate after two-years’ follow-up was 98.6% and the corresponding data was 98.6% after 5 years. Conclusion Porcelain veneer seems to be one of preferred restorative procedure for anterior teeth incisal angle defect.
