Abstract

The design of the Ming Dynasty East Wicket Wall Relic Park centers the city wall relics of the Ming Dynasty and emphasizes the creation of environmental atmosphere. It sets the protection of the city wall as the starting point and the exhibition of the original city wall as the aim in order to provide the city wall a most natural environment. The environment quietly accompanies the old wall which shows people many vicissitudes it experienced, and becomes an organic part of the landscape of Beijing.
