Investigation on High-risk Sexual Behavior and HIV Knowledge Level of MSM in Yinchuan

Objective To find out the high-risk sexual behavior status and HIV/AIDS knowledge level of MSM(men who have sex with men,MSM) in Yinchuan city and provide references for pointed HIV health education and behavior intervention.Method Using rolling-snowball sampling method to investigate the HIV prevention knowledge and behavior of MSM.The groups were classified by types,compared AIDS prevention knowledge and sexual behavior of different groups.Results 332 MSM were investigated,and the average age was 25 years old,unmarried rate was 68.4%,Hui nationality was 16.6%,53.6% was college;AIDS awareness rate was 99.7%,male sexual behavior was 87% in nearly 6 months,the last condom promotion rate was 79.9%;In the past 6 months,homosexual commercial sex was 25.3%,and the female sex rate was 37.4%;HIV detection rate was 4.2%,13.6% was syphilis.Conclusions The AIDS prevention knowledge level was higher in this crowd.The level of knowledge is not associated with the high-risk sexual behavior.We should increase the condom promotion rate and strengthen intervention of high-risk behavior.
