Notes on the Taoist Literature of the Tang Dynasty

The study of Taoist Literature on the Tang Dynasty has achieved most in the relationship between literature and religion.There is still lack of absorbing the research of Taoism Study since 1970's.In Tang dynasty,for the first time the Taoist had the network of temple throughout the empire.With the support of the national system,several Taoist sutras were popularized.The unique Taoist register ordination ranks built up the genealogy of Taoist knowledge which was the core of the Taoist literature of the Tang dynasty.The religious geography of the Taoist literature is to be developed in the future.
