Abstract

Objective To discuss the effect of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell(MSCs) transplantation on myocardium function in rats. Methods Heart failure rat model were established. The rats were divided into two groups randomly and their bone marrow were acquired. In transplantation group,MSCs were injected into myocardium;in culture medium group, cell culture medium were injected into myocardium;another ten normal rats served as normal control group.Four weeks after transplantation, cardiac function was assessed again.Hearts were harvested and detected by histopathological method. Results After 4 weeks transplantation, heart functions were improved significantly in transplantation group(P0.05).Compared with culture medium group, the symptom of myocardial fibrosis were improved significantly in transplantation group. Conclusion MSCs transplantation could change the myocardium function of rats with heart failure. Its mechanism possibly was MSCs improved the myocardial fibrosis.
