Breeding of a new cross of hot pepper ——'Yujiao No.4' resistant to diseases

Yujiao No.4 was a new hybrid of chilli developed from two diseases resistant inbred lines with good comprehensive characters,using 7211 as female parent,346111 as male parent.It was characterized by earlymiddle maturity (60 days from planting to harvesting),midresistance to phytophthora blight and tolerance to anthracnose,growth vigorous and tolerant to heat and cold.The slightly pungent fruit with long irregular bell shape and light green skin had good quality and flavor.The average yield was about 39.91 t per ha.This hybrid F1 was suitable to be cultivated in Southwest of China,Hubei,Anhui,Guangxi and etc.
