Abstract

Objective:To investigate the effects of three dimensional conformal radiotherapy(3-DCRT) combined with chemotherapy in recurrent esophageal carcinoma after radical radiotherapy.Methods:Total of 38 patients were given 3-DCRT combined with chemotherapy.Results:The overall response rate was 89.4%,60.5% with CR,28.9% with PR,SD 5.3%,PD 5.3%,1,2 year survival rates were 60.5%,34.2% respectively.Conclusion:In patients with recurrent esophageal carcinoma after radical radiotherapy,3-DCRT combined with chemotherapy can improve local control,and increase survival rate.
