Abstract

The information entropy theory is introduced into the fuzzy matter-element analysis that has been successfully used in comprehensive evaluation with multiple indicators to assess regional water resources carrying capacity. On this basis, through rationality improvement application and the Euclid Approach Degree to realize the quantitative comparison for the different regions and achieve the level of water resources carrying capacity and the merits order rank. The study shows that compared with grey matter-element analysis approach and fuzzy comprehensive assessment approach, the results of entropy-based fuzzy matter-element analysis are better to reflect the essences of the issues and more scientific and rational, which is useful for solving the water resources issues of Tarim river basin.
