The Positive Effects of Negative Language Transfer on English Teaching and Learning

Negative language transfer is mainly treated as interference and negative effects in English learning.The relevant researches focus on how to eliminate its negative effects while ignoring its positive functions to facilitate the English language learning process.This article puts emphasis on exploring the positive impacts of language negative transfer upon English teaching and learning.Some implications concerning negative language transfer toward language teaching and learning are also discussed.
