Abstract
Fifteen teeth remains excavated from Zhagunluke cemeteries were analyzed for the hypervariable control region(HVR-I) and haplogroup diagnostic SNPs of the mitochondrial DNA genome.NJ tree and multidimensional scaling analysis were constructed based on pairwise Fst values. The results show the affinity of the ancient population to Central Asian populations in matrilineal lineage. It is significantly that the eastern Eurasian factor of Zhagunluke population was increased obviously compared with that of the populations in Xinjiang province. It may be reflected by the special locality and time of the cemeteries.
