Abstract

The waste water model is composed of 1.0 g phenol in 1 000 ml solution, and phenol is degraded in the system of Fenton reagent-activated charcoal under microwave radiation. The effect in different factors on the degradation of phenol was studied. The results showed that the phenol was degraded rapidly and high efficiently in the system of Fenton reagent-activated charcoal under microwave radiation, and that the optimum conditions are as follows:the microwave radiation power input is 650 W;the time of microwave radiation,15 min;activated charcoal mass 1.0 g;the molar ratio of H_2O_2 and FeSO_4,50∶1.
