Abstract

The geological features of gold deposit at langquan are described detailedly.With middel scale,this deposit is microfine grained disseminated gold deposit.From geological features of gold deposit,material composition of ores,hosting status of gold,alteration of wall rocks,metallogenetic epoch as well as gold bearing proerty of strata,inclusions of minerals,stable isotopes,etc.,the author has discussed the genesis of this gold deposit and considered ahat this deposit underwent sedimentary,hydrothermal and supergene enrichment stages and was controlled by strata and fault structures.The strata of Beipeng Formation of Middle Triassic have high abundance of gold and are the major source beds;The langquan fault zone is the main ore control structure and the ore bodies occur in the stronger active structures;The hydrothermal epoch may be divided into four stages and the gold mineralization is principally associated with the second and the third stages,namely mesothermal stage and epithermal stage.
