Abstract

Leaf segments of saussurea gossypiphora D Don were cultured on MS medium Supplemented with NAA(1 0~2 0)mg/L, 6-BA(0 1~1 0)mg/L A month later large member of greenish yellow callus would be induced from the excised leaves An induced frequency of 100% was obtained on the MS medium with NAA 2 0mg/L+6-BA0 5mg/L The callus were shifted to MS medium supplemented with 6-BA(0 5~2 0)mg/L,IAA(0 05~0 1)mg/L, NAA(0 05~0 1)mg/L, GA 3 0 5mg/L The suitable medium to induce adventitions buds was MS+6-BA1 0mg/L+IAA0 1mg/L+GA 30 5mg/L The adventitious buds were cultured on MS medium with IAA(0 1~0 5)mg/L under low temperature for ten days Then roots wonld occur after they were cultured at 25℃ for a month
