Condom use and influence factors in non-commercial sex among FSWs in low-HIV-prevalence areas of Sichuan Province

Objective To explore condom use and its influence factors in non-commercial sex among female sex workers(FSWs)in low HIV-prevalence areas of Sichuan province.Methods The questionnaires survey were conducted among FSWs samplings in 32counties of Sichuan province(exclude Liangshan Autonomous prefecture);bivariate multilevel statistical model was used to explore the factors related to condom use in non-commercial sex.Results Among 1367respondents,the rate of condom use with regular sex partner in the last episode and in the last month was 43.4%and 17.6%,respectively;The main factors were age(OR1)and HIV testing(OR1).Conclusions The intervention should focus on FSWs in relative high age.VCT should be effectively expand to increase the coverage of HIV testing.
