Abstract
Based on the monthly and annual rainfall data of 14 weather stations in Xinjiang region from 1954 to 2006,by using the wavelet analysis method, the periodic variation of rainy season precipitation in Xinjiang during 53a(1954-2006) is analyzed, and the response relationship between strong ENSO and the rainfall of rainy season in Xinjiang is analyzed with T-test.The result shows that the periodic variation of rainy season in Xinjiang compared with the periodic variation of ENSO has obvious lagging nature, the response relationship between the rainfall of rainy season in the most areas of Xinjiang and the strong ENSO is significant.
