Effect of Acupuncture Plus Cupping for Chronic Urticaria:An Observation of 40 Cases

Abstract

Objective:To observe the effect of acupuncture plus cupping for chronic urticaria.Meth- ods:Eighty patients were equally randomized into two groups.The two groups received oral use of elari- tyne.Additionally,the treatment group received acupuncture on acupoints of Quchi.Hegu, Xuehai, Zusanli and Sanyinjiaoand,and mobile cupping on Taiyang Bladder Meridian and Du meridian. Re- sults:The total effective rate was 90% in the treatment group and 80% in the control group(P0. 05).Serum lgE content was decreased in the two groups(P0.05 compared with that before treat- went),and the decrease of IgE was obvious in the treatment(P0.05 compared with the control group).Conclusion:Acupuncture plus mobile cupping exerts a certain effect for chronic urticaria.
