Clinical observation on the effect of acupuncture and mobile cupping combined with antihistaminics on 52 cases with chronic urticaria

Objective To observe the effect of acupuncture and mobile cupping combined with antihistaminics on cases with chronic urticaria.Methods 102 cases were divided randomly into 2 groups.The 52 patients in treatment group were treated by acupuncture and mobile cupping combined with antihistaminics of Loratadine tablets.The other 50 patients in control group were treated by Loratadine tablets only per os.The treatment course for both groups was 1 month.The therapeutic effects were evaluated after one treatment course.Results The total effective rate was 90.38% in treatment group and 80.00% in control group.There was a significant difference between two groups(P0.05).The total scoring of clinical signs and symptoms after the treatment was dramatically reduced(P0.05),and the therapeutic effect in treatment group was superior to that in control group(P0.05).Conclusion The therapy of acupuncture and mobile cupping combined with antihistaminics is effective on the chronic urticaria.
