Abstract
The pyrolysis characteristics of wood residue in northeastern region were studied using the thermogravimetric method in high N2 atmosphere. The influences of size and heating rate on the pyrolysis process were researched. The pyrolysis kinetics was used to describe the process by Coats-Redfern integral method, and the most appropriate kinetic mechanism function was selected by y( α)- α curve. The pyrolysis models were established, and pyrolysis kinetic parameters were calculated. The results showed that the kinetic processes could be simplified as a first-order reaction. The pyrolysis reaction was faster with the increase of the heating rate, and peak of weight loss rate curve rise. At the same time, peak amplitude narrowed down and had high peak shape. The diameter of particles had less effect in the pyrolysis process in the range of 20 mesh and 80 mesh.
