Abstract
Combined with competency-based education theory,this paper re-examines the teaching target of higher vocational and technical colleges through the application of the experiences in the curriculum construction and teaching reform on physical education.It also refers to the concept formation of modern education administration——Health First and Human First,which means physical education in high school should aim at improving students' both physical and mental health,fully arouse their initiative and enthusiasm to take physical exercises.It is helpful for the students to grasp basic knowledge of physical education and essential sport skills.On the other hand,it also helps students take physical exercise consciously and build up a solid foundation for their life-long physical education.
