Abstract
Using sodium hydrogerl sulfate as a cheap esterification catalyst, methyl α-naphthylacetate,an important regular of plant growth is synthesized from α-naphthylacetic acid and methanol by microwave radiation. We tested the factors influencing on the reaction yield, such as molar ratio of alcohol to acid, mass ratio of catalyst, power of microwave microwave time etc.The optimal reaction conditions was found.and we′ve got a satisfactory result.
