Abstract
Methyl laruate was synthesized with p-methyl-benzenesulfonic acid as catalyst under microwave radiation. The influence factors of esterification reaction were investigated. The experimental results were shown that:molar ratio of methanol∶lauric acid∶catalyst was 20∶1∶0.25,microwave power 195W(30%),microwave irradiation time 70min,the yield of esterification reached 80%.The target compound was characterized by refractive index and IR.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
