Abstract

The estimation of the number of primary user's signal is a key issue for wideband spectrum sensing method based on MUSIC algorithm. To this end, this paper proposes an algorithm to estimate the number of the signals utilizing search matching algorithm with dynamic threshold. The orthogonal properties of signal subspace and noise subspace is used in this algorithm, which adjusts threshold constantly and searches the signal number that is the best matches with dimensions as the final estimate value.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has high accuracy at low Signal Noise Ratio(SNR) which greatly improves the performance of the wideband spectrum sensing.
