Data Auto-conversion from AutoCAD to GIS

Abstract

This paper discussed the method and technique of the auto-conversion between AutoCAD and GIS data.It chose GeoView as GIS platform,and analysed the problem in the process of data transformation form AutoCAD to GIS and summarized the measures.It introduced how to realize transformation by way of VS programming and ObjectARX,and assured the safe of the attribute and parameter information.The key techniques and difficulties in this work were also detailed in this paper.The files which have transformed can be used in GIS system GeoView.
