Abstract
The catalyst of H_2SO_4 supported by silica gel was prepared and the catalyzing effect has been studied by esterification of acetic acid and isopentyl alcohol. It was found that the new catalyst has still better catalytic activity after utilized repeatedly. The reaction conditions are that the catalyst is 2.0 g, the mole ratio of acid to alcohol is 2.6︰1, the average esterification yield of isoamyl acetate is 70.6%.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
