Abstract
This article analyzes the implementation of China's nine-year compulsory education and the factors of impacting compulsory education: economic factors,demographic situation,national traditions and legal preparations,compares the implementation of 12-year compulsory education in other countries and explains the goal of the high school education.Finally it canbe concluded that the target of current compulsory education is to implement nine-year compulsory education fairly,at the same time we should view the 12-year compulsory education as a long-term goal.
