Abstract
Traditional linguistic theory holds that characteristics of poetic language are manifested by means of music,image,accuracy of crafting words and mass-utilized rhetoric techniques.Whereas,modern linguistic theory maintains that the features are displayed in a way of self-sufficiency and many-sided composition.According to these theories,we may find out that Chinese modern poems have three defects: inadequacy in self-sufficiency,unconsciousness in style and lack of innovation.
