Abstract

The relation between Yi Dynasty and the frontier minority nationality Jianzhou Nuzhen of Ming Dynasty was a very important component of the Sino Korean political relation of that time.During the reign of King T'aejong,in order to expend the territory, Yi Dynasty scrambled for the jurisdiction over Nuzhen who lived in the boarding area of the two Dynasties by the following means:trying to prevent the Nuzhen leader Menggetiemuer who lived in Korea from returning to Ming Dynasty and attacking Baerxun, the Commanding officer of Maolianwei.
