Abstract
The structure and function of FPGA/CPLD were analyzed and contrasted.The basic rules for using FPGA/CPLD in design of electronic system were represented.According to the actual design objective,architectural characteristic,effective reference data and benchmark test to select type.In the aspects of system speed,resource utilization and reliability,combined with project design to optimize system performance.Concrete realization of optimization methods,including FPGA/CPLD design and development processes,resource sharing,logic optimization,serialization,pipeline design,critical path,register matching,race hazard and adaptive optimization was given.The practical method and optimization strategy for the FPGA/CPLD development and application in the system level are provided.
