Abstract
In order to discuss the application of the commercial CFD software FLUENT in the ship numerical simulation,several models with free-surface are investigated to analysis the turbulence models,computational grids and boundary condition.Based on the comparison of the numerical result with experimental data,advantages and disadvantages of the software are analyzed,applicability of the commercial software Fluent in ship hydrodynamic characteristic calculation is discussed.
