Abstract
Objective To investigate clinical value of cervical smear cytology combined with colposcopy in cervical cancer screening. Methods Positive rates of cervical cancer screening of 1302 cases with cervical smear cytology combined with colposcopy (observation group) and 1298 cases with cervical smear cytology only (control group) were compared. And pathological examination of detected lesions was also performed. Results Positive rate of observation group was significantly higher than that of control group (P0.05), while the detection rate of cervical cancer was lower than that of control group. However, the detection rate of CIN Ⅰ, CIN Ⅱ and CIN Ⅲ were also significantly higher in observation group than that in control group (P0.05). Conclusion Cervical smear cytology combined with colposcopy is effective in the screening of cervical precancerous lesions and is a necessary method for the implementation of level two prevention.
