Abstract

XU Fu\|guan believes that the aesthetic spirit of Taoism is typical of the art spirit of China. Furthermore, the spirit is mainly represented by Chinese ancient paintings. In fact, as a mainstream of Chinese traditional culture, Confucianism also makes great contributions to Chinese transcendent spirit of art and harmonious lives in reality. Specially, to be a virtuous and complete man, the ultimate aim of Confucianism, could be achieved through the important way of ancient Confucian musical cultivation. So,XU's main viewpoints should be questionable.
