Abstract
The theory of social economic development has been widely applied in developed countries after WWII.The focus of this theory and its model is on the function of scientific and technological development,human capital accumulation,division of labor and institutional change.But the deficiency of their epistemology held by economists of developed countries prevents them from building a scientific theory of social economic development and its analytical model.Therefore,Marxist methodology must be adopted in building a scientific theory for the purpose of guiding and serving social economic development.
