Abstract
The system of land use planning in China is mainly composed of land use master planning, land use special planning and land use detail planning. The existent major problem is that the regional planning, land use planning and urban planning have their own system. So the land use planning, which is compilied based on the unit of administrative regions can not properly integrate the development of regional economy with the demand of land resources. The rigid control index is not suitable for the regional social and economical development; The another problem is that land use planning is difficult to control the urban land use scale because the urban planning is unfit for the land use planning. Therefore, the development direction of land use planning is to integrate the system of planning which is composed of regional planning, land use planning and urban planning and emphasize on the compiling and implement of dominating land use detail planning such as urban and rural land use planning.
