Abstract

Objective To observe the effects of atorvastatin and benazepril in hypertensive patients on carotid artery intima-media thickness(IMT),blood lipid levels and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP).Methods 114 hypertensive patients were randomly divided into a treatment group and the control group,57 cases each. The treatment group received atorvastatin(10mg/each time,1 time/day,orally),benazepril tablets(5mg each time,1 time/day,orally);control group was given aspirin enteric-coated tablets(100mg each time,1 time/day,orally),captopril tablets(12.5mg each time,3time/day,orally).6 months of treatment, observed the blood pressure, carotid IMT,lipid levels and hs-CRP changes before and after treatment. Results After treatment systolic, blood pressure, carotid IMT,total cholesterol(TC),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),serum hs-CPR of two groups were compared, the differences were statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion Atorvastatin and benazepril can effectively control the level of blood pressure in hypertensive patients, regulating blood lipid.
