An Overview of Dong Zhilin's Literary History Studies and Literary Criticism

In terms of literary history studies and literary criticism,Dong Zhilin has advanced a research and criticism paradigm of returning to the prototype,namely,a historical study and aesthetic criticism of literary history and literary phenomena in the cultural network.To this end,Dong Zhilin has tried to explore gaps in historical relativity through two-way introspection in relation to his notion of history studies,and has attempted to delve into historical details and aesthetic narration in various manners with respect to his narration of history.As regards the affirmation of key narrators of history,Dong has endeavored to establish the existence of a scholar in this chaotic era by virtue of the contradictory method of keeping one's dignity and opposing nihilism.
