Abstract

The determination of As,Sb and Bi in copper-contained materials is investigated. The samples are dissolved with sulphuric acid and potassium sulphate in high temperature,As,Sb and Bi are co-precipitated by the carriers of Fe and La in ammonia solution, and separated from copper etc. As,Sb and Bi are continuously determined with Inductively Coupled Plasma-Atomic Emission Spectrometry(ICP-AES). The process is rapid and convenient, and the results are accurate. The range of 0.048%~5.65% As,0.057%~9.01% Sb and 0.022%~5.11%Bi in copper-contained materials are adequate for determination. The relative standard deviations are within3.12%~0.76%,2.11%~0.46%,5.00%~0.88%,respectively.And the recoveries with standard addition are in the range 99.80%~100.19%.The method can be applied to the normal determination for As,Sb and Bi in copper-contained materials.
