Abstract
Objective To investigate the application value of MR angiography(MRA) in interventional treatment of Budd-Chiari syndrome(BCS) combined with hepatic vein thrombosis.MethodsTwenty patients with BCS and hepatic vein thrombosis confirmed with DSA underwent MRA before interventional treatment within a week. The images of the two methods were compared and analyzed.ResultsIn all the patients,51 intrahepatic veins were presented by MRA,including 40 hepatic veins thrombosis,8 accessory hepatic veins thrombosis and 3 unobstructed hepatic veins.Forty intrahepatic veins of the 51 intrahepatic veins underwent DSA examination.DSA showed 33 hepatic veins thrombosis,4 accessory hepatic veins thrombosis and 3 unobstructed hepatic veins.Compared with DSA,the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of MRA in detecting BCS with hepatic vein thrombosis was 97.22%(35/36),75.00%(3/4) and 95.00%(38/40),respectively.The two methods had good consistency in diagnosing BCS with hepatic vein thrombosis(Kappa=0.722,P0.01),and there was no statistical difference in clinical detecting rate(χ2=0.5,P0.05).ConclusionMRA can accurately and comprehensively diagnose BCS with hepatic vein thrombosis, therefore playing an important role in the interventional treatment of this disease.
