Abstract

To research the change of plasma fibronectin (Fn) and pulmonary surfactant (PS) and the effect of 654 2 on the content of Fn and PS in rabbits with pulmonary edema caused by oleic acid. Forty rabbits were divided into control group (received physiological saline), pulmonary edema group (injected oleic acid by vein with 0 12 mg·kg -1 ), preventive group (administrated 654 2 by vein with 10 mg·kg -1 before injecting oleic acid) and treatment group (received 654 2 by vein after injecting oleic acid). The contents of Fn and PS decreased markedly ( P 0 01) in pulmonary edema group. The decrease of Fn and PS can be prevented by injecting 654 2 by vein before giving oleic acid. Insufficiency of Fn may be responsible for the damage of pulmonary capillary, the increase of capillary permeability, and the aggravation and inducement of pulmonary edema. 654 2 can prevent the situation from developing and attacking.
