Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effects of early rehabilitation nursing care on swallowing recovery in acute stroke patients with dysphagia. Methods 60 cases of acute stoke patients with dysphagia were randomly divided into the study group and the control group according to their sequence of hospitalization, with 30 cases in each group. Early rehabilitation nursing care and recovery training was started 48 hours after the life signs of the patients in the study group were stable. A comparative study about the improvement of swallowing function was performed between the study group with early rehabilitation nursing care and the control group with only traditional treatment and nursing care. Result There was no significant difference with regard to the admission swallowing function between the two groups (P0.05). After three weeks treatment and rehabilitation nursing, patients in the study group obtained more swallowing improvements than that in the control group (p0.01).Conclusion Early rehabilitation nursing care and recovery training can facilitate the recovery of swallowing function in acute stroke patients with dysphagia and improve their life quality.
