Nitrogen Fertilizer Effects on Nitrate and Nitrite Contamination in the Soil Water and Groundwater

It has been brought great attention on nitrogen contamination because of excessively using nitrogen fertilizes,which can make different degree pollution for soil water and groundwater in a intensive vegetable cultivation area.Two vegetable gardens in greenhouse of Yanji city were selected to study the dynamic change between the application of nitrogen fertilizer during one year and the content of nitrate and nitrite.The results showed that the groundwater was severely polluted due to the high application level of nitrogen fertilizer.
