Abstract
Epithelial-mesenchymal transition( EMT) is the phenomenon that epithelial cells transform to motile mesenchymal cells in the specific microenvironment. This phenomenon can be observed in invasion and metastasis of primary hepatocellular carcinoma. Therefore, this article will not only review EMT and it's regulatory factors, but also the role of EMT in the invasion and metastasis of primary liver cancer.
