Abstract
In order to improve the separation efficiency of the hydrocyclone,a new type of cyclone separator is proposed. According to computational fluid dynamics method,a new cyclone separator,coalescence-cyclone separator,is numerically simulated by Fluent software based on a co-rotating outflow reverse-cone hydrocyclone,and is compared with the co-rotating outflow reversecone hydrocyclone. Optimal inlet flowrate,inter oil volume fraction and tangential water phase outlet split ratio of the coalescencecyclone separator were selected.
