Abstract

Some new exact solutions for an auxiliary ordinary differential equation are obtained. The auxiliary equation is applied to solve (2+1)-dimensional Broer-Kaup-Kupershmidt system, and thus the solitary wave solutions and triangular periodic wave solutions are obtained.
