Abstract
In order to establish an accurate finite element model of an engine block and to get a completely structural dynamic characteristics, the experimental modal analysis of model 4120SG engine block was carried out in the paper. The modal parameters were recognized by use of the software LMS TestLab,and calculated by NASTRAN.The body modes of the every orders was obtained, and the inter-modal MAC values between the experimental modes and the computed modes were calculated. The finite element model was validated.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
