Abstract

The research on thermal behavior decomposition of 1-methyl-4,5-dinitroimidazole(4,5-MDNI) was carried out by using DSC-TG combined technique.The non-isothermal thermal decomposition mechanism and reaction kinetics of 4,5-MDNI were investigated by using DSC-TG technique in the presence of nitrogen gas at linear heat rate of 2.0,5.0,10.0,15.0℃/min respectively.The non-isothermal thermal analysis data were analyzed by using various methods.It is defined that the mechanism function of 4,5-MDNI thermal decomposition reaction is consistent with the power function rule,its apparent activation energy is 91.99kJ/mol,the pre-exponential factor is 1012.25s-1,and the kinetics equation of thermal decomposition was determined.
