Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical value of continued lumbar cerebrospinal fluid drainage(CLCFD) in the management of subarachnoid hemorrhage(SAH).Methods 126 patients with SAH were divided into treatment group(60 cases) and control group(66 cases).Patients in both groups accepted the routine conservative treatment. And CLCFD was applied to those in the treatment group. Results The duration of headache, neck rigidity and coma were significantly shorter in the treatment group(P ﹤ 0.05).The mortality and complications ratio was significantly lower in the treatment group(P ﹤ 0.05).Conclusions CLCFD is a simple, convenient and highly effective therapeutic management in the SAH patients. It can be promoted in the Primary Hospital.
