Evaluation on Implementation of Tuberculosis Control Project in Baoshan City,2004-2010

[Objective]To understand the execution effectiveness of TB control project in Baoshan city,2004-2010.[Methods]Analysis was made on the situation of TB treatment Sputum smear,centralized management,tuberculosis patient sources,and outcome of smear-positive patients in Baoshan city,2004-2010.[Results]A total of 16 210 suspected pulmonary tuberculosis cases were reported,2004-2010,with a rate of 0.94‰.The average rate of sputum was 63.65%.The average rate of sputum-positive was 42.55%.4 276 smear-positive TB patients were registered.The average rate of registration new smear-positive was 24.89/105.New tuberculosis cases with smear-positive were 3 842.The average rate of registration new smear-positive was 22.35/105.4 838 active pulmonary tuberculosis were registered.77.70%,9.61%,11.32%,1.38%smear-positive pulmonary tuberculosis patients were from transferred tracking,treatment due to disease ymptoms,recommended for medical reasons and other.Males accounted for 68.32% and ages from 15 to 64 accounted for 91.51% in 3 842 smear-positive patients.The average cure rate of smear-positive pulmonary tuberculosis was 93.54%.The new average fatality rate of smear-positive pulmonary tuberculosis was 1.12%.The average cure rate of retreatment smear-positive pulmonary tuberculosis was 88.94%,the average fatality rate was 0.99%.[Conclusion]After implementation of TB control programs in Baoshan city,there is significant effect.
