Abstract
Aim To investigate the effects of vitexin on hemodynamics and myocardial oxygen comsumption in anesthetized dogs. Methods In 30 dogs with artificial ventilation, the changes in parameters at different time were observed, such as heart rate(HR),mean arterial pressure(MAP),coronary blood flow(CBF),cardiac output(CO),left ventricular pressure(LVP)and blood oxygen content. The hemodynamic parameters, coronary vascular resistance(CVR),total peripheral resistance(TPR),stroke volume(SV),stroke index(SI),cardiac index(CI),left ventricle stroke work index(LVWI)and myocardium oxygen consumption index(MOCI)were calculated.Coronary artery blood flow and cardiac output were measured by Doppler flow meter.Blood oxygen content was determined by oximeter. Results Vitexin could significantly decline the HR and LVP,but could not change MAP.Vitexin could significantly increase coronary artery blood flow and cardiac output, reduce cerebral vascular resistance, total peripheral resistance and coronary vascular resistance, increase cardiac index, stroke index, stroke volume and decline myocardium oxygen consumption index. Conclusion Vitexin can improve the parameters of hemodynamics in anesthetized dogs.
