Abstract
Objective To study the expression and significance of p16, p21and p53 proteins in lung carcinoma Methods Expression of p16,p21and p53 proteins were detected in 30 cases of lung carcinoma by immunohistochemistry, in which RSV N gene was detected in 7 cases by RT PCR Results The positive rate of p16,p21 and p53 was 36 7%(11/30),43 3%(13/30)and 53 3%(16/30)respectively Conclusion p16 and p21 may be factors associated to estimate the degree of differentiation and prognosis of lung carcinoma There is no significant relationship between RSV infection and expression of p16,p21 and p53 proteins
